Frequently Asked Questions

What classes do you offer?2025-10-14T16:33:10+00:00

Absolute CPR offers a variety of cardiopulmonary resuscitation classes and advanced life support classes.  These classes are offered by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Health & Safety Institute (HSI).  All of our BLS, ACLS, and PALS training are AHA.  Most of our CPR, AED, and First Aid training is HSI.

Please verify with employment and academic requirements about what you are expected to take to ensure you are taking the right classes.  It is the student’s sole responsibility to sign up for and register for the correct class.

What are Online / eLearning classes?2025-10-14T16:33:10+00:00

The American Heart Association offers eLearning options that allow students to watch the video portions of class in the comfort of their own home on a device connected to the Internet. After reviewing these videos, students print a Certificate of Completion, demonstrating watching these videos, then students schedule a Skills Check.  At this appointment, students demonstrate the skills they learned in front of an Instructor. After successfully completing these steps, students will receive their Course Completion eCard.

Do you have a cancellation or rescheduling policy?2025-10-14T16:33:10+00:00

Yes.  Our instructors rely on students arriving on time and attending class.  We cannot wait for students to arrive, prolonging the class.  Therefore, we have a cancellation and rescheduling policy to help ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.  Often our classes fill up and while we try to offer a waitlist for students to register, they are not able to attend class last minute when someone does not show up, try to cancel last minute, or try to reschedule last minute.  So to try to accommodate all students, we have this policy.

Is there parking at your location?2025-10-14T16:33:11+00:00

Yes, we have plenty of free parking at our location.

Do you offer group discounts?2025-10-14T16:33:11+00:00

Yes.  We can offer group discounts depending on the size of the group, email us for more information.  We can offer a private class for groups of 8 or more students.  We can arrange an off-site class at your place as well. Please email us for details.

Can I register for multiple classes?2025-10-14T16:33:11+00:00

You can take advantage of our Package offerings for Healthcare Provider classes by paying for any combination of BLS. ACLS, and PALS.

But you will then have to register for reach class individually.  We hope this is convenient for you.

Do you have any age restrictions?2025-10-14T17:26:50+00:00

Great question. The American Heart Association (AHA) says students must be 13 years old. Absolute CPR suggests parents use their best judgment, considering they know their child best. CPR deals with the suggestion of end-of-life scenarios and can be a lot to deal with no matter how old someone is.  So we suggest considering attending and participating taking the class with their child – this is especially helpful when they have questions after class.
